  • 300 grams pork tenderloin
  • 1 egg
  • 50 grams cornstarch
  • 50 grams flour
  • 1 tablespoon cooking wine
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup white vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon chopped green onions
  • 1 tablespoon minced ginger
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic

Steps

  1. Slice the pork tenderloin into thin pieces and tenderize with the back of a knife.
  2. Marinate the pork slices with cooking wine and salt for 10 minutes.
  3. In a bowl, mix cornstarch and flour, then add the egg and stir well to make a batter.
  4. Coat the marinated pork slices with the batter.
  5. Heat enough oil in a pan to 180°C, and fry the pork slices until golden brown. Remove and drain the oil.
  6. In another pan, add a little oil and sauté the green onions, ginger, and garlic until fragrant.
  7. Add sugar, white vinegar, ketchup, and soy sauce, and cook until the sugar is completely dissolved and the sauce thickens.
  8. Add the fried pork slices to the pan and quickly stir-fry to coat each piece evenly with the sauce.
  9. Plate and serve.

Tips

When frying the pork slices, control the oil temperature carefully. Too high will burn them, and too low will make them oily. The sauce should be cooked until thick to coat the pork slices better.
