
Braised Chicken with Edamame
A delicious home-style chicken dish where the freshness of edamame perfectly complements the savory chicken.

Ingredients
- 500g chicken thighs (cut into pieces)
- 1 cup frozen edamame (thawed)
- 2 tbsp light soy sauce
- 1 tbsp dark soy sauce
- 1 tbsp cooking wine
- 1 tsp sugar
- 2 cloves garlic (sliced)
- 1 slice ginger (sliced)
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1/2 cup water
Steps
- Cut chicken into pieces and marinate with cooking wine and a little light soy sauce for 10 minutes.
- Heat oil in a pan and sauté garlic and ginger until fragrant.
- Add chicken pieces and stir-fry until surface changes color.
- Pour in light soy sauce, dark soy sauce and sugar, continue stir-frying evenly.
- Add edamame and water, cover and simmer on medium-low heat for 15 minutes.
- Remove lid and reduce sauce over high heat.
Tips
For richer flavor, you can extend the sauce reduction time slightly.
